The majority of wastewater pumps are installed in chambers constructed from pre-fabricated concrete rings. The basic portable design (P) can be fitted with flexible hose to a high level outlet or quick-release coupling or fixed pipework.

Guide Rail (GR) installation is by far the most popular method of fixing sewage pumps. A duck-foot discharge bend with special quick-release low level coupling is bolted to the floor of the chamber and the pump is lowered into position on two rails.
